Iomega 33721 FireWire 400/USB 2.0 120GB Black Portable Hard Drive Review from Sore in Seattle. No complaints, This hard drive performs just as I had hoped. I have several older XP computers; one is a very small laptop with a firewire port but only USB 1.1 (instead of the fast 2.0). So I needed a drive with firewire support. I had worried that this hard drive, which can be powered directly from the firewire or USB port, would require more juice than the laptop could provide through those ports. No problem: it fired right up when I plugged the included firewire into the laptop’s port. It also did not need any special software to be installed on the laptop; the laptop recognized the drive immediately. The drive is very quiet and is faster than the internal drive in the laptop. This is the drive you want if you require both USB and firewire connectivity.
